Maria José Porto

Graduated in Social Service from João Pessoa Federal University in Paraíba, Brazil. Started her career working for the government and soon moved to entrepreneurship, where she has managed a business in the food industry and a serigraphy and canvas factory.
The serigraphy business led to a return to an old passion, painting, where she explores the fascination of hidden sights in the deep oceans and its mysterious creatures, through images captured both by diving and photography to the final medium, with acrylic in canvas and watercolor in fine art paper.

Listed in several private and public collections (corporate Collections) in South America and Europe.
She was awarded with the Medal of Honor Diploma at the first Sesc Bienal of Arts in Brasilia.

Currently owns a studio in Portugal where some of her paintings are currently exhibited.
